Fun in San Diego

In August we celebrated our 5th Wedding Anniversary and decided to make a week trip out of it to San Diego with Halina. The trip was a lot of fun minus the nausea and vomiting, but thankfully I had some good meds to ease the sickness.

Hallie love the new children's Sesame Street Land at Sea World. She screamed and screamed with excitement.Coronado BeachThe New Children's Museum in San Diego. Very cool, but a little disappointing for little ones, not enough age appropriate hands on activities.Hallie loves to color her face.

Nausea, throwing up... ugh

Today I finally got around to checking my overflowing email and to write this little blog update. I've pretty much been in bed or on the couch all week. Lots of throwing up and constant nausea. Nothing seems to ease the nausea, except when I'm unconscious. Having random cravings, but once I have whatever I craved I can't stand to have it again. I've been constantly reminding myself that this is all for a good cause. Halina has been a little darling. Very happy and content pulling out every toy we own and stringing it around the house. Landon has been working from home almost all week, so he has been great with entertaining Halina while I'm throwing up. I am greatly looking forward to the end of this sickness.

Morning Sickness (All Day Sickness) Has Begun!

Ughh! The infamous "all-day nausea" had finally started early Sunday morning. I was really hoping this time around I wouldn't get sick... ha ha! At this point I'm just craving citrus and salty foods. A good ol Ginger ale seems to really put the nausea at ease for a little bit too. Last time the nausea and throwing up lasted about eight weeks. So far no throwing up, but I feel like I really need to. I'm going to get some pregnancy pops (nausea suckers) next time I'm at the store. Those seem to help me last time around also.

Any suggestions for coping with nausea?

Fun with Friends at Big Bubba's

Just before dinner at Big Bubba's BBQ with some close friends. Matt, Jaimee, & Haley and Richard & Cascel. This was our first time at Big Bubba's and it definately held its reputation.

Jon & Kate Plus 8 Obsession

So, about a month ago I saw Jon and Kate + 8 for the first time and loved it. It made me feel like the craziness in my own home is normal and not nearly as extensive as a home of eight children. Earlier this week there was a marathon and I recorded about ten episodes. I have only two left to watch! Landon can't stand the show but every time he walks by while it's on he seems to get sucked in and watches the show with me. Halina even likes to watch it.

Baby #2 On It's Way!!!!

We just found out we are expecting again and are so excited! This one was planned so we weren't in shock (aka pleasently surprised!) as we were with Halina. The baby is due April 1, 2009. No nausea or other strange symptoms yet, but will keep you updated :).

4th of July Weekend

Early evening on the 4th. Halina is cleaning up the pool toys before we headed out to see some fireworks.
Just before fireworks with Cousins.
The fam out at Keweah Delta Lake
Kloe, Kat, and Kate
Hallie fell asleep with her hand over her ear. I guess the motor was a little loud for her, so she took care of that! Auntie was there to hold her while we did some skiing.
Landon wake boarding.
On our way back to land. All of us were very tired.

At Home with Mommy

Just some pictures of Halina and Mommy at home. The first one is after Hip Hop class. Halina was ready for bed!

Clayson's Birthday

Alexandria's Recital

Last night we got to attend Alexandria's first recital. Alexandria's dance group were the star's of the show. They were absolutely adorable with all their bouncing and personalities. Bravo Alexandria! Beside Alexandria is her Mommy and Daddy (Marise and James).

This is Hallie and I goofing off before we headed in to the theater. I didn't really know what to expect with Hallie iin the theater, so I thought it would be a good idea if she ran around a bit before having to sit still in the auditorium. Halina really loved watching the recital. After every dance Hallie would shout "more dancing" or "where ballerina?"

Grandpa's Visit & Stefanie's Birthday

Last week Grandpa came to visit from Washington. This was his first time seeing Halina in person. We have all visited through the XBOX Live web cams, so that has helped us stay close and connected. Below is Landon and Dad playing Rainbow 6 on XBOX. They're probably playing with Stefanie's brother Max and Dad's neighbor Jim.
Waiting for our table at the Tokyo Garden to celebrate Stefanie's 26h Birthday! Grandpa and Halina are being well behaved and content!

Getting ready to head out to the pool. While Landon, Stefanie, and Halina played in the kiddy pool, Grandpa swam in the lap pool to train for his upcoming triathalon. This is the first time Hallie has actually kept her sunglasses on. She really enjoyed lookng at the sun with them.

Playdate with Alexandria

Halina and Alexandria having fun playing with jewelry. Halina loved following Alexandria around. She's a great role model for Hallie. If only Hallie could learn some of her adorable poses!
